Yes, you can keep your number(s) when you move to BeamRing’s cloud-hosted telephony. Just let us know when you order which numbers you’d like us to port, and we’ll take care of the rest. The great thing about IP telephony is that once you have your number, you can take it with you wherever you go as it’s not tied to a geographical location.

It depends if it is compatible with a digital line, we can let you know. We supply Yealink and Cisco handsets which have been tried and tested with the Webex with BeamRing platform. When using a hosted-voice licence you need to make sure you have reliable connectivity you can trust.

We require BeamRing voice licences to operate via a Beaming connection for the following reasons:

1. We will constantly monitor what’s going on, and if there are any issues we can fix everything as soon as possible.
2. We know it’s easier for businesses to just deal with one supplier, with few points of contact. If you have a problem, you are one call away from the experts who know their stuff and understand your business. You will not be passed around call-centres, but always have your issue dealt with as soon as possible.
3. Beaming connectivity is the best for business (reliable, fast and secure) so will deliver the clearest calls – always.

Migrate your phone line in 5-steps

1. Once your order has been placed, our team get underway with the porting arrangements and organising any specific phone configurations that you require. They’ll ask you for details about voicemail and numbers etc., to make sure everything is set up exactly as you want it to be.

2. Next, our provisioning team get in touch to let you know when the scheduled date for the switch over will be, this is usually within 2-3 weeks.

3. In the meantime we send any phone handsets, app user details, download links and user guides etc. to be with you in advance of the switch-over date. You will be able to install your phones and make outbound test calls prior to the number porting.

4. A ‘porting window’ will be arranged by us and the existing provider for a time to switch. For a single number, this usually takes around 5 minutes and you’ll be kept in the loop at all times. All of this is managed by our provisioning team and there’s nothing you need to do.

5. Your new phone line is live and ready to use. If any staff need help or advice about using your new service our tech team are at the end of the phone ready to help.

Yes, you can call the emergency services using BeamRing. As with any VoIP phone system, the phone will need to be plugged in to a power source and a working internet connection in order to make a call. Beaming’s business-grade, resilient network is ideal for making sure your phone is always connected.

You can make international calls, and if you wish to you can also block calls to international numbers as well as premium rate ones.

Not necessarily. if you use Webex with BeamRing for your digital phone line, this can be accessed using your smartphone, PC, or tablet. But if you would like to have a desk phone, we offer a great range of digital desk and cordless handsets to purchase or rent.
