Your guide to logging in to Microsoft 365

- Open your web browser Use Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari.
- Go to www.office.com You’ll see a “Sign in” button on the page.
- Select “Sign in”
- Enter your work email address Example: firstname.lastname@yourorganisation.org.uk
- Enter your password This is the password provided by your IT team or the one you set during account creation.
- Complete MFA if prompted (If this is your first login, you’ll be asked to set up MFA—see “How to set up Microsoft Authenticator” Guide.)
- Access your apps Once signed in, you’ll see the Microsoft 365 home screen. From there, select “Apps” and choose “Outlook”.
Note – If you have difficulty accessing the Microsoft 365 account and do use Microsoft 365 for other services, it would be advisable to perform the above steps from within an “Incognito” or “InPrivate” browsing tab, this can be done by following the below steps depending on your web browser.
Google Chrome:
- Open Google Chrome.
- Click on the three vertical dots (menu) in the top right-hand corner.
- Select New Incognito Window. A new window with a dark theme will open, indicating you’re now browsing incognito.
Microsoft Edge:
- Open Microsoft Edge.
- Click on the three horizontal dots (menu) in the top right corner.
- Select New InPrivate Window. A new window with a blue theme will open, indicating you’re in InPrivate mode.
Mozilla Firefox:
- Open Mozilla Firefox.
- Click on the three horizontal lines (menu) in the top right corner.
- Select New Private Window. A new window with a purple mask icon will open, indicating you’re in private browsing mode.
