WannaCry ransomware attack: Beaming customer guidance

Our advice for protecting against the ongoing global cyber attack named the WannaCry virus.

Following guidance received from the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and the National Crime Agency (NCA) Beaming has whitelisted the so called ‘kill switch URL’ to help mitigate the spread of the WannaCry ransomware.

Before doing anything else customers are urged to ensure their Windows operating systems are fully up to date.

If you are unsure if your Windows Operating system is up to date, check here:

  1. Select the Start button > All programs > Windows Update.
  2. Select Check for updates.
