In this quick blog we go over how to check which folders on Outlook are taking up the most mailbox space. This will be useful if you are getting emails stating that you are nearing your mailbox limit, have been notified by a system administrator that you need to clear some space, or are generally wanting to have a clear-out to speed up your Outlook client.

How to check within the Outlook Client

The way to tell which folders are causing a lot of your mailbox usage would be to go to your Outlook client, click “Tools” then “Mailbox Cleanup”, then “View Mailbox Size”, this will then list all of your folders and the various usage reports per folder.
