If a large amount of space is being used by c:windowssystem32certlog you can remove “certlog” to free up disk space on SBS 2008.

In order to free up disk space on SBS 2008, the log files stored in this directory may be removed but please follow the process below for proper certlog removal.

1. Stop the ‘Active Directory Certificate Services’ service in services.
2. Backup and copy all contents to another drive with enough space.
3. Verify the copy and delete EDB.CHK and log files.
4. Remove the log files and start the ‘Active Directory Certificate Services’
