What happens in a migration?
Moving your business email to Office 365 is a 3-step process which we manage entirely usually in under a day, with no email downtime for you or loss of data.
- We start by switching the domain names to us, this is so that we can manage the DNS efficiently for you. This is usually very quick but where the switch is more complicated it can take up to 10 days. The switch won’t affect your use of email and we handle this on your behalf.
- When the domain has been switched, we export all email data to a PST file and clear other mail profiles from your computer. Meanwhile the switch to Office 365 will be happening in the background, meaning that all emails received during this period, are already going to the new platform.
- Once the live profiles are set up on your computer, we import all your past email data and the migration is complete.
