Microsoft 365 password reset doesn’t workPosted on 17 February 2021 by Beaming Support
Some Microsoft 365 users have experienced a frustrating problem where they’re asked to log in to their account on Outlook and it tells them to reset their password, but the password reset doesn’t work, so they end up in a loop of password resets and can’t log in to Microsoft 365.
The reason this happens is because the password reset won’t work when you do it from within Microsoft 365 apps, so this is what you need to do to reset your Microsoft 365 password.
What to do when the Microsoft 365 password reset doesn’t work
Whenever you sign in and get told that you need to change your Microsoft 365 password, stop right there and go to office.com and sign in there.
From here you can successfully reset your password, then return to the program you were trying to log into and sign in with your new password.
